Google is Building an AI Powered Search Engine

Major IT companies are fighting for first place in the AI race, which is currently in full gear. Million-dollar contracts are at stake, which puts a lot on the table for companies like Google, as demonstrated by a recent Samsung action.

Google is the default search engine for Samsung smartphones, as everyone who has ever owned one will attest to. However, things might be about to change. According to a New York Times report, Samsung is thinking about making Microsoft Bing the default search engine on its mobile devices instead of Google.

With the addition of AI to the new Bing, Microsoft Bing, which has historically been the underdog search engine, has seen a huge increase in popularity.

According to communications examined by The New York Times, Google experienced "panic" as Bing threatened to replace Google as the default search engine on Samsung phones. The agreement between Google and Samsung generates about $3 billion in annual revenue. The business still has a chance to continue selling Samsung phones, but it must act quickly.

The New York Times reports that Google is currently rushing to develop a new search engine powered by AI and integrating AI elements into its current search engine in order to compete with AI rivals like Bing.

Elon Musk claims to be launching a ChatGPT competitor, “TruthGPT”.

SAN FRANCISCO, April 17 - Elon Musk, announced on Monday that he will introduce a platform for artificial intelligence (AI) he calls "TruthGPT" to compete with Microsoft's and Google's (GOOGL.O) products.

He accused OpenAI, the company behind the trending chatbot ChatGPT, which is supported by Microsoft, of "training the AI to lie" and said that OpenAI has since transformed into a "closed source," "for-profit" organization "closely allied with Microsoft."

Additionally, he charged Google co-founder Larry Page with not taking AI safety seriously.

In an interview with Tucker Carlson that aired on Monday, Musk stated. "I'm going to start something which I call 'TruthGPT', or a maximum truth-seeking AI that tries to understand the nature of the universe."

While also adding that TruthGPT "might be the best path to safety."

AI-Generated Music May Replace Artists

Digital streaming services started to block or erase a new AI-produced song on Monday that resembles the vocals of Drake and The Weeknd. The song, titled "Heart on My Sleeve," was first posted on April 15 by a YouTube and TikTok user going by the title ghostwriter. The user afterwards added the song to Apple Music, Spotify, and Tidal.

Although "Heart on My Sleeve" was removed from the aforementioned DSPs, it is still available on YouTube and has received more than 370,000 views since it was posted. The track is the most recent important development in the ongoing discussion about artificial intelligence in music, which centers on whether these developments are beneficial or detrimental.

Regardless of one's opinion of the song's quality, this development shows how artificial intelligence (AI) technology is gradually blurring the line between authentic and artificially produced content, perhaps signaling a huge shift in the music industry.
